Quality Assurance

The RITEC quality system is certified to AS9100D – ISO9001:2015.  The quality assurance process ensures that all engineering, manufacturing, test, and management processes adhere to the requirements of the contract statement of work, specifications, and supporting documentation.  A QA representative is part of each project team and participates in all program reviews and reporting activities.

Quality Management System

  • Maintain facilities, equipment, and staff required to perform specified processes.
  • Ensure that controlled and authenticated documentation is utilized.
  • Ensure that verification processes are traceable to requirements and documented.
  • Review test data to ensure that verification processes have been completed.
  • Provide a corrective action mechanism that identifies the status of all items until final disposition.
  • Maintain surveillance of suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance.
  • Provide training necessary to ensure that standards and processes are consistently applied.
  • Monitor trends and provide data to other organizations needed to improve product quality and process efficiency.

Manufacturing

RITEC maintains a primary manufacturing capability at the Simi Valley, California facility that is supplemented by long-term alliances with local and regional manufacturing partners.  RITEC has been extremely successful in implementing a scalable manufacturing model to support customer delivery requirements utilizing on-site expertise and on-demand resources.  This model has provided a continuing flow of cost-effective, compliant products while maintaining the quality assurance and oversight provided by core RITEC personnel.

Every part, component, and assembly received by RITEC is inspected for conformance to the applicable control documentation.  Subassembly kits are identified and delivered to the manufacturing floor as specified by travelers.  Parts and assemblies are manufactured in accordance with approved and controlled engineering documentation.  Components are fabricated and assembled in accordance with RITEC manufacturing/QA procedures and workmanship standards.  ESD protection is maintained during all assembly and test activities.

The end-item product is assembled and inspected in accordance with top-assembly documentation and as-built configuration logs are generated.   Environmental stress screening and acceptance testing is performed in accordance with approved procedures.  Final inspection is performed to verify equipment conformance and completeness of the associated product data package.
